Home Again.......

We're home after a  fun 'working' visit to Salty Yarns. I spent Friday to Sunday helping cut fabric in the shop. By Sunday PM it was slowing down so we started to pack a few things. Monday was spent packing up the shop...and there is a lot to pack! Sara had a number of friends/family helping out and we busted  out a lot of packed boxes and shrink wrapped carousel racks. Sara is planning on opening at the new location February 1st and it sounds like she's on target for that. Here are some photos of the helpers that day (compliments of Lisa):

Here is a shot of the largest pizza I've ever seen!! You can't tell but it was 28"!!!

To close, here is a shot of me and Lisa in front of the Salty Yarns sign...... truly a bittersweet time but dreaming of exciting future experiences!

Thanks for stopping by and your "twisted threads" of friendship!

  1. Wow! What a job that must have been, Stasi. I'm sure they truly appreciated all the helpers that pitched in. I'm sure it was sad to say goodbye to the old shop, but at least a new one will be appearing soon. Can you ask them to open a branch shop in western PA? Ha ha! We are in a cross stitch shop desert here--absolutely nothing unless you're willing to travel almost two hours away!

  2. It certainly is bittersweet. It is sad to think about the shop not being there, but it will be exciting to see the new shop. I'm sure you were all very tired, but it was nice to see all the smiles.

  3. Looks like you had a lot of great help.
I'm sure it was a happy but sad moment to say goodbye to the old shop.
Is the new shop going to be further out/ or in the same vicinity?
Just like Carol, no close shops here either.
    OMG! That pizza though! :)

  4. First, that pizza! Incredible! Hmm, you neglected to identify the person in the first picture! LOL I know the help was greatly appreciated and while it is bittersweet about the closing at least they are reopening elsewhere.

  5. I'm just catching up on all of your posts, and certainly enjoying all of the Salty Yarns pictures. Very bittersweet but trying to look ahead. Lots of packing but the pictures show lots of smiles. I can't wait to see the new shop. I'm really glad that bite has healed!

  6. How wonderful that you were able to help, along with family and friends. That certainly must have been an event, that store was packed!
