Fall is Coming....(250)........

and I can't wait!!! We are however enjoying the last vestiges of summer here at the beach. With the fishing trip canceled I thought we'd be experiencing a cold rainy day yesterday. Instead, it was sunny and warm albeit WINDY!!! I tried working on my Samsarah calendar on the beach, but the perforated paper rectangle quickly became a mini kite...thank goodness it stayed attached to the threaded needle!!!  :) Hubby snuck a pic..note the "nerd" look...readers on top of sunglasses and all the freckles popping out. Oh the perils of being of Celtic descent!!!

My Stroll piece today is Acorn Harvest Thread Keeper by Historic Stitches, stitched in 2004. This was a LE kit with the hand painted acorn by Liberty Hill. These are my colors!!!

Well, another day on the beach today, hopefully with less wind, as the anticipated thunderstorm finally blew through last evening.

Thanks for stopping by and your "twisted threads" of friendship!

Stasi

  2. Love the acorn piece with the wooden thread keep; fabulous colors! Enjoy your beach time today; we have sunshine here and should see low 70s. Definitely my kind of weather!

  3. I like your stroll piece today as well as the "nerd" look, but best of all is the visual of the SamSarah kite! We Stitchers face all kinds of adversity

  5. Hi Stasi! We just got home from six days at the beach ourselves. It was most enjoyed and very relaxing. For the first time ever I did not stitch once and I think that is a first. I love the photo that your husband caught of you. I would look the same as I wear readers over readers sometimes when I'm working on 40 ct. linen...we do what we must to get our stitches done, right? LOL! RJ@stitchingfriendsforever

  6. Stasi, I love this set! The painted acorn is darling and of course the accompanying stitch goes perfectly, what a great acorn fabric you chose to go with the acorn trim. Fall is my absolute favorite time of year and my favorite color combos. I wear the "nerd" look too sometimes!! Great shot of you!!

  7. Love the Acorn Harvest piece! This is in my to-do pile, though without the pretty keeper as mine's an ebay'd chart.

Wait a minute, I thought readers on top of other glasses was the in look...? ;)
