Stocking # 4 ... (210)

Today's Stroll stocking comes with a special tiny gift inside. It is Jillian's Stocking by ...yes another one...Shepherd's Bush, stitched for my granddaughter Cora in 2010. She was born the end of November and was the perfect Christmas gift for us all! Weighing in at just under 5 pounds, she fit perfectly! She is a lovable, expressive girl with a caring, kind heart!

I worked some more on my finishing piece before I got frustrated again and put it down. I've come to the conclusion I'll have to figure this one out myself; I'm having a real mental block where the instructions are concerned. Hoping today to do some problem solving!!!

I did some more on Schoolhouse #1 and am loving it! I only have a band under the house to do and I'm done! Yea!!!

Thanks for stopping by and your "twisted threads" of friendship!

P.S.  Got me some  Motivation essential oil going!!!

  1. Oh my goodness, Stasi! The picture of Cora in her stocking is just precious. What a treasure and memory! Schoolhouse #1 is looking great. Way to go! Enjoy your day!

  2. Oh my. The picture of Cora. It almost brings tears to MY eyes and I am not even related!! How adorable and precious is that?!?! Your Schoolhouse piece is super. I just adore over one stitching. Almost there!

  3. You really made quick work of the schoolhouse piece. It's so pretty. Another beautiful stocking with the most precious of all gifts inside!

  4. Stasi, it looks like there might be a berry still to stitch in the left hand vine but I haven't looked at the chart to check. I started mine yesterday but didn't have all the Weeks so am having to sub. Sandra x

  5. Cora was such a beautiful baby! She looks adorable in her pretty stocking. Your picture brought up a very special Christmas memory for me. My son was born on December 23, just before midnight. When they brought him in to me on Christmas morning, he was in a stocking and wearing a tiny Santa hat!!

Schoolhouse #1 looks marvelous! Can't remember if you said whether you're stitching it on the called-for fabric or something else...?

  6. Such a precious photo of Cora in the beautiful stocking. The red looks just fine on the schoolhouse, your making fast progress on it.
