I am not a royal watcher, but was sad to hear of Queen Elizabeth's passing. Her reign began in 1952, the year I was born. I thought this montage of the queen was so sweet. She certainly brought a lot of 'color' into the world.

I have a little finish today..... that was a car project...... Peace on Earth by Mill Hill....it seemed fitting for today. It was stitched on 14 ct perforated paper with supplied threads and beads. This will count for my October ornament in the #12in22ornamentstitchalong hosted by our friend, Carol, on IG.
Thanks for stopping by and your "twisted threads" of friendship! And do me a favor.....hug your loved ones today!!!

........after a wonderful three days in OCMD at my happy place......

This is the back of a tee shirt I treated myself to
The weather wasn't the best for the beach but I always say 'any day at the beach is a beautiful day'....as evidenced by this shot of the beach at breakfast one morning.
Our original plan was to relax on the beach for two days then I had class on the third and hubby would hang on the beach. The first two days were windy and rainy but Rich did manage a bit sitting down by the waves ( he was the only person there). Luckily, class day shaped up very nicely for him...sunny and clear!
The rainy weather allowed me to spend more time with some dear friends and get some shopping done in Salty Yarns.
Here are photos of my purchases..... luckily we got a discount from the shop for taking a class!
I love four seasonal designs and had never seen these by Just Nan. JCS ornament issue, fabric for Jax's stocking and more thread for Harriett Salt Misc charts
Class day was Thursday with Jackie du Plessis. I have been anxiously waiting for this class since she first posted a 'teaser' in 2019. It includes the "doily" you see pictured with a lovely four seasonal theme (got me again) and a small needle/pin roll that will fit in the box.
I always come away with something new to me from these classes. One things was method of doing a hem stitch I had never seen. I have always worked left to right, but Jackie did her version right to left and I loved it! It's so sweet and delicate! I hope I'll remember it when the time comes!!!

I didn't post the last couple days because I didn't have much to share. But I was busy working on some project bags for Lori at Notforgotten Farm. She saw one I had made for me when I visited her studio a couple weekends ago and asked if I'd make some for her upcoming open house. I thought about it, was able to get more of the fabric and decided to do it. I love the fabric I found at JoAnn's for the outside, but especially love the surprise inside!!! Spooky!!!!
Today, I will be busy packing for a quick trip to OCMD. We are going up for a couple days on the beach (though the weather doesn't look too good) then I am taking a class on Thursday with Jackie DuPlessis. So, if I don't post for a few days, you know why.
Happy Labor Day and thanks for stopping by and your "twisted threads" of friendship!

I finished the first part of the Costume Party by Hands on Design. It's shaping up to be a cute little stitch.
I thought I'd share my pieces that I swap out on a monthly basis since I switched them up yesterday. The oldest is from 1990 and the most recent, 2019.
Leisure Arts Holiday House 1990
From a Leisure Arts Heart Themed book 1992
Shepherd's Bush ( I got these as a monthly Shepherd's Fold offering, but they did come out with them as charts later) 2001
Hands on Design Year of Celebrations I
Hope your September shapes up to be a great one! Thanks for stopping by and your "twisted threads" of friendship!
