A Little Punchy......(292)

Today's Stroll piece is a little departure from my usual stitching.....my first..and only....attempt at punch needle. The design is from Pep'r Pot and I did it in 2004 after we had Charlotte Dudney teach at Twisted Threads. It remains unfinished as I just don't know what to do with it!

I worked on my recent class piece from Milady's Needle and only have to complete the nun stitch before I can attach it to the spool. Gloria has us doing the nun stitch upside down with the "legs" facing towards the design rather than away. I opted to stitch the spider webs in black rather than white as I thought they showed up better.

I'm off to a meeting of the Virginia Guild of Needlewomen today for a class to make a scissor fob.....hope to share that tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by and your "twisted threads" of friendship!

  4. Punchneedle - that's different! Was it fun to do? I like the pumpkins (now there's a surprise, right?) Not sure how big it is, but might it finish into a mug rug?

The spool cover (is that what I should call it?) is fun and looks great - spiders and black cats, yay!
