A bit grey, dreary sunrise this morning, but beautiful nonetheless!
Today is one of those days where you say "where was I " when we heard the news about JFK. I was only 10 but remember being haunted by the events of that day and the ones that followed.
Thanks for stopping by and your "twisted threads" of friendship!

Happy Thanksgiving Stasi: I was in the seventh grade at Catholic School, it was a somber day for sure, many teachers and Nuns crying.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a Blessed Thanksgiving

Lovely view even with the clouds!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI remember that day clearly.
I was in 2nd grade when we got the news.
We all headed down to church to pray.

In third grade and we had to get on our knees and say the entire rosary. I'll never forget seeing my parents cry, I think it was the first time I saw them cry.
ReplyDeleteYes, that was definitely one of those unforgettable moments in history. When the announcement was made, I remember the 2nd grade teacher asking us all to close our eyes and put our heads down on our folded arms on our desks in front of us. We were also dismissed early that day and I remember how quiet everyone was on the bus ride home.
