The Porcupine Bag...(322)

Today' Stroll piece is the Porcupine Bag  by Handwork and stitched in 2002. The pre-made bag came with the chart and you just attached the stitched piece to the bag. I can't remember if the ceramic button came with the kit or I changed it up..darn this ole memory bank!!!

I attached the Blue Band Sampler to an antique spool I had and dashed to Hobby Lobby for some ribbon to 'secure' it. I'm not real happy with the ribbon, but it will do for now and I'll keep my eyes open for something I like better. I opted for this spool rather than the "prettier" one because the whole piece could wind around the spool and be protected by the 'caps'. I really love how this turned out and can't wait to start the red one in January!

I couldn't resist going back to the ABC de la Brodeuse piece and I did!!! However, I do need to get my butt in gear and decide on the annual ornaments for the grandkids.

Thanks for stopping by and your "twisted threads" of friendship!

  1. How did you attach your Blue Band onto the spool? It looks great. The porcupine bag made me chuckle. The ABC piece is looking good.

  2. Great stitching Stasi! The porcupine bag is so cute. And I really love the Blue Band. I too would like to know how you attached it to the spool. I think the color of your ribbon looks perfect. And your newest stitch is really pretty. It would be hard for me to stay away from it too. RJ@stitchingfriendsforever
