Happy first day of DST---hope you got that extra hour of sleep in! Me...I was up after my normal 8 hours, but hope that means I have an extra hour to stitch today. I don't like when it gets dark early; I usually go though an "adjustment" period where I fall asleep in my chair around 9:00PM, wake up an hour or two later and stumble zombie-like into bed. But then, after a few nights of more sleep than I need, I bounce back into my old groove.
Today's Stroll piece is my third, and last, Snowman of the Month-November by Curtis Boehringer, stitched in 1995. I wish I could motivate myself to stitch the rest of the series, it sure would make a cute quilt!!! But it's not my "bag" anymore.... maybe one day!
Yesterday my daughter had an early birthday party for Cora. Her actual birthday is November 30th, but signs (fingers crossed) are pointing to the fact we may be getting our 2 grandchildren from Africa soon and then things will get a little CRAZY around here. Cora loves all things "Paris" so my daughter rented a room at Michael's and showed the girls how to make a painting of the Eiffel Tower. I couldn't believe how quiet and intent they all were on the projects. Here is a shot of their smiling faces and finished "oeuvrues d'art"!
My daughter also made a frame and had a photo taken of each girl and Cora. I got in on the action too!
Double header baseball game today! Enjoy your Sunday!
Thanks for stopping by and your "twisted threads" of friendship!

I remember that snowman for November. Did you ever stitch the stitching snowlady from that series? What a cool idea for a birthday activity! Happy early birthday wishes to Cora!

ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect party for Cora. I wish I was invited so I could of painted an Eiffel Tower too. I love anything French. Those Eiffel Towers would look great framed. RJ
What a great birthday party for Cora, I think they all did a great job on the paintings. Sweet photo of you and Cora, Stasi you look more like her mother than a grandmother!
