Thanks for the positive comments about my needlework passion--they are much appreciated and it's so FUN to share with other like minded individuals and have enabling conversations.
Today's Stroll piece is from a class I took with Jane Timmers (Of Female Worth) at Salty Yarns in 2010. It was part 2 of a finishing class (I had missed part 1) and included a lovely wooden box with the state of our choice on it. I was living in WV at the time and chose that. There were also numerous smalls that could be stitched and placed in the box. I did make the little fabric covered book on my own with some cute fabric with an alphabet on it. The red round piece is an old tape measure I had on hand; I glued the USA charm on it and added the ribbon tassel.
No stitching last night as we went to a seminar on wills and trusts at a local library. I don't like thinking about these things, but it is the smart thing to do and I better understand the repercussions of will/no will.
Thanks for topping by and your "twisted threads" of friendship!

It took a while, but I got my husband to go with me to make a will right before our children went to college. What a relief. I love all those little smalls.
ReplyDeleteStasi all of your smalls are so beautiful and that box is awesome. Great job on all. RJ@stitchingfriendsforever
ReplyDeleteLove the Quaker styled smalls. Was the box a stitched piece?
ReplyDeleteStasi, I love the Quaker smalls you created for your West VA box. The box is precious.
