We are heading to Baltimore this morning to spend Father's Day with my Dad. My Stroll piece today is in his honor. He served in the MD National Guard for 34 years and retired as a full colonel. This is a piece I designed and stitched for him in honor of his retirement.
One of the best memories I have of my Dad is when he was coming home from being called up for a Vietnam protest rally and walked in to our house to a large group of high school girls and teachers having our peace "rally" in our living room. He walked in in full uniform and I think a lot of mouths dropped, but he greeted everyone and moved on. The nuns were very impressed!!! Happy Father's Day Dad!
Thanks for stopping by and your "twisted threads" of friendship!
