A very Merry Christmas.....(407)

A very Merry Christmas from me to you and yours. I wish you a joyous day with family and friends and hope you all got what you wanted for Christmas. We sure did this year with the addition of James and Esther to our family. We were able to go to my daughters early this morning and watch the grandkids open presents. It was a little chaotic but everyone loved what they got. James had told my daughter right before bed last night that he really was wishing for some money. So, she took back one of his gifts and gave him a $20 bill in an envelope....you would have thought he won the lottery...he was jumping up and down, hooting and hollering. It was priceless! It will be interesting to see what he decides to do with it.

My Stroll piece today is one I made back in the 70's. It was a crewel kit and came with the tree shaped, wooden frame. It depicts the story of the Night Before Christmas, but I'll bet you already figured that out! :)  I'm glad I took this picture of it last year because I haven't been able to find it this year. I'm hoping I had forgot to pack it away with the decorations last year and just "stuck" it somewhere, but I have looked everywhere but to no avail. I'm sure it will turn up, but I'd rather it sooner than later!!!

So again, Merry Christmas and thanks for your "twisted threads" of friendship!

  2. What a fabulous piece! I love the tree-shaped wooden frame. I enjoyed reading the story about James and money. I am thankful that James and Esther were finally able to join their forever family.

  3. I hope you find your tree!! That is so cute about James becoming so thrilled with getting cash, I wonder if he ever had money of his own before.

  4. What a dear piece that is - I'm sure it will make its whereabouts known, probably a couple weeks after you put all your decorations away!
