Greetings my stitching friends!!! It has been a long time since my last post. Since the beginning of 2026, there have been a lot of trips, to and from, Maryland to help out my parents. For those who do not know, my Dad passed away on April 15th at the age of 98. We were able to be there with him and support my Mom. We have been handling all the "paper work" aftermath for my Mom. Luckily, my hubby is very good at handling all this, so he has taken the job on. But, this has involved more trips to Maryland in the last month. Here is one of the last photos of my Dad taken on this past St. Patricks Day.
Throughout all of this, I have been relying on my stitching to provide sanity and distraction. I am stopping by today to share what I've done and add to my ongoing record of my needlework. I always regret letting so much time pass between posts, as it is time consuming to pull it all together. But, it will only be worse if I wait any longer. So please bear with me....here goes!!! I am not going to list all the pertinent info on each piece...just the facts...., but if you have any questions about particular project, just reach out to me.
First up...Tradewinds Basket by Heartstring Samplery. This was a class at Salty Yarn's Jamboree last October. I added some beads around the top edge and Beth's Husband, Matt, made us the beautiful wooden ruler.
Celebrating 250 Years by Needlework Press....this was a class with the DVHSG this spring. Stitched on perforated paper. The booklet is mine and the stand up was a gift I made for a friend. I attached one of my Dad's medals from his years in the MD National Guard at the top.
Mermaid Mending Box by Olde Colonial Designs. This was a gift to a friend.
Red House Patriotic Etui by Gentle Pursuit Designs....I added a few more words on the back.
Sister of my Needle by The Purple Thread....this was an exchange piece.

A Whales Tale by Summer House Stitchworkes....this was a class at Salty Yarns Jamboree last October.
Lovey Dovey by Samplers Not Forgotten....finished on top of a cigar box.
Countdown to Christmas by Heartstring Samplery... This was a class at the last Jingle Ball. I opted to stitch it over one on banding.
Long May She Wave by With My Needle...this is a class only piece at this time. But, I got lucky and found if on a FB sale page.
July 4th by Breanna Stewart...I made this for a friend.

Well, I think that about covers it. These were all FFO'd projects....I have a lot of WIP's going, as I keep getting distracted by all the great patriotic designs that are coming out. Hopefully, I'll be able to show some finishes of those soon.
