Stopping by with a couple finishes...one of which was almost the death of me. LOL But first, a fun stitch by Pineberry Lane called In Full Bloom.
This was a and was stitched on 36 ct. R&R Ligonier Latte linen with WDW fibers. The finishing fabric and chenille trim was included. Now, what I may consider my most challenging finish to this date.....The Berry Thief by Jackie DuPlessis. I bought this on the second hand market, so never had the benefit of an actual class/instruction from Jackie. My friend, Sara, and I had decided to work on it together and over the course of five years, we managed to get the stitching done. That was the easy part!!! Lots of fiddly sewing, seam ripping, reading and rereading instructions, reworking, countless hours and it's DONE!!! I am so proud of myself for sticking with it and getting all the smalls done and in their assigned home...the shaker box bottom. So, here you go......

We were given the bottom of a shaker box that had tiny holes drilled around it's top edge. I then attached some William Morris, Berry Thief, fabric to it with petite cuts of ribbon. I made beaded "berries' and added to the ends of the drawstrings. |
Brava - What a neat and ambitious achievement....

Sorry to be so late with my comment, Stasi (we were down in Maryland visiting the little guys once again :). I can't tell you how impressive I think your finishing of that beautiful set is! Where do you find the patience? I would probably have stitched it but never have finished--ha ha! Anyway, that is quite an accomplishment--you should be very proud! Love the Pineberry Lane finish, too--just perfect for you! Hope you're enjoying a relaxing weekend! ♥
