First up is Spooky Halloween by the Bright Needle. I had this chart for awhile and recently found the frame for sale on FB. I nabbed it and proceeded to stitch the design, over one on 32 ct. Vintage Country Mocha with GAST, and one, VMSS fibers. I think it's an old Hog River frame.
Next up is a four seasonal series by The Drawn Thread. I had chosen Spot of Summer as my June project for Cross Stitch Camp hosted by Sherri, the Colorado Stitcher. The prompt was to stitch something that reflected when you liked to stitch...day or night. I love to stitch any time of the day, but I stumbled across this chart in my stash and decided it was the one! Stitched on 36 ct. Light Sand Edinborough with Anchor floss.
So, when I came across this chart, I also found the other three seasons, all kitted up from when I bought them in the mid 90's!!!! I decided to get 'em done! They were quick stitches and I've always loved them. I had the perfect frame in my stash, so it all fell together nicely. Here are the four framed......
Spot of Winter 36 ct. Rue Green Edinborough with Anchor floss
Spot of Spring 36 ct. Cream Edinborough with Anchor floss
Spot of Autumn 36 ct. Summer Khaki Edinborough with Anchor floss
So happy to have these framed and soon to be hanging on a wall !!! Thirty years was too long to wait!!!
Thanks for stopping by and your "twisted threads" of friendship!
Stasi

Fantastic! Is the frame for the Spots one frame with four openings? Well done on getting all four stitched, Stasi!
ReplyDeleteFantastic finishes! Nice to know I'm not the only one with projects "maturing" in the stash!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann...you are definitely NOT alone!!! LOL
DeleteGreat pieces! That frame is perfect and I love the 4 Seasons ... classics that have definitely stood the test of time!
ReplyDeleteThat frame is so perfect for the cute Halloween piece you stitched, Stasi. Glad you were able to find it! And I love your little Seasonal Spots--such a cute series and I like them all framed together. Wishing you a wonderful Fourth of July with your family! ♥
