Some Weekend Stitching...and a Couple Stroll pieces....(445-446)

Greetings! I hope you are all having a fulfilling New Year! The weather here has been nuts....snowing and freezing temps on Wednesday, in the 60's Saturday...repeat!!! It does, however, look like it will stabilize and be more consistent the next week or so, but I don't trust Mother Nature!!!
In the spirit of our recent snow fall I thought I'd do a little Strolling with a few snowman pieces---two I have stitched, one I did not. First up is one I did, Simply Snowman by Ewe and Eye and Friends, stitched in 1998-1999. (RJ--you might like the little friend on his nose!) I love this chubby guy!!!

Next is a Shepherd's Bush fold piece from 2002, January. Don't you love his cocked button hat?

Last, is a design from Holiday Sparrow called Brrrman. This was a shop model that I bought when Twisted Threads closed as it was dear to my heart. Ruth, the designer,  said it was a "play" on my last name .......Buhrman...get it???

I did manage to get some stitching in this weekend between basketball games and selling some items on FB. Here is week three of the Red Band Sampler SAL by iStitch.

And here is where I stand on Celtic Banner.

Do any of you watch Scandal on ABC? It's like watching a train wreck...I want to turn away...but  I can't!!! This is the final season and they have an outrageous story line going (okay..it's been pretty outrageous since the very first show) but I am sticking to the end...gotta see how they tie it all up...or not!

Thanks for stopping by and your "twisted threads" of friendship!

  1. Very cool snowman pieces, Stasi! I think you have made good progress on Celtic Banner and the red band sampler looks super. Can't say that I have seen Scandal. What night and time?

  2. Can you believe the photos aren't showing for me? And, I'm so anxious to see the snowman. I have a guess it might be a cardinal on his nose. I'll be back to see if they are showing.

I think I watched Scandal once. You will have to tell us the ending. RJ

  5. Such pretty pieces, Stasi! I just love that little SB snowman and I'm not normally a big SB fan. He really is cute :)

I've not seen Scandal, but it is on right after Grey's Anatomy which I've watched forever! Hope all ends well for the series~

  6. I know RJ loves the cardinal on the nose! Adorable snowmen stitches. great play on words for your Brrman piece- very neat to have it named after you! ..I am in love with those Celtic letters!! Your making great progress on your red band too.

The weather has been crazy....rain is coming down heavy now, hopefully we get no basement flooding as the conditions are ripe for it. Stay dry now!! Mary

  7. Your snowy pieces are great!

What you said about Scandal is how I felt about Lost - just had to keep watching to the very end. Hope your show comes out well.
